A restrained brick pavilion set into a wooded lot, opening entirely to a raised garden terrace at the rear.

Brookview reads from the street as a modest single-story brick volume; the topography falls away behind it, revealing a full lower level tucked beneath the main floor and opening onto the creek.

The living, dining, and kitchen occupy one long room across the garden elevation, framed by a continuous steel-plate soffit that steps out to become a covered porch.

Materials were chosen to weather quietly with the site — hand-molded brick, blackened steel, rift oak — so that the house settles into the tree canopy rather than asserting itself against it.

The rear terrace is a single limestone plane that extends the floor of the living room outward, blurring the edge between the interior and the garden.
